Dream Team Saturday
Dream Team Saturday is the most visible outreach of the Dream Center. This outreach takes place the first Saturday of each month during the spring through fall months.. Essentially, this an Adopt-a-Block explosion! We invite anyone and everyone with a heart for people to flood the city with the love of Jesus and to spend a day with us as we serve Des Moines' inner-city communities. This is a great opportunity to come and catch the heart and mission of the Dream Center by getting hands-on involvement with the people we serve. Dream Team Saturday is a great outlet for your business, organization, or church to get into the community and give something back.

Adopt-A-Block
Adopt-a-Block is the most visible outreach of the Dream Center. We believe that people don't care what you know until they know that you care, and that is the philosophy behind this outreach. Our primary objective is to build relationships with the residents of Des Moines' inner city, and we do this by finding ways to practically serve individuals and families. We meet every Saturday morning (with a few holiday exceptions) and hit the streets. This often times is walked out by doing yard work, minor house repairs, and by picking up litter in the streets.

Dream Kidz
Dream Kidz is an outdoor program where we play games, sing songs, and provide a positive message for children in the community. We target this outreach to take place at various local parks in the city. Our goal is to ignite a passion and purpose in the lives of the youth and their families by taking God's love and His Message to the streets.

Homeless Outreach
Each week a team of people visit the homeless camps in Des Moines and find ways to practically serve the people in these communities. They offer food, clothing, blankets, and personal hygiene items as needed.

Emergency Food Distribution
During pre-scheduled Saturdays the team and volunteers meet at First Church of the Open Bible to bag groceries. We usually bag about 400 sacks of groceries, 200 filled with nonperishable goods and 200 filled with frozen good. These items are packed in our Dream Center truck and we go to Evelyn Davis Park at 10:30 am and the Bates Park from 11:30 am to 12:30 am.

Special Events
We have different opportunities to serve during the year through our special events. This may be an activity for Father's Day or our annual July 4th Barbeque.
