THE NEED
Des Moines has been recognized as a
High Intensity Drug Traffic Area.
There are at least thirty known gangs in the
Greater Des Moines Area.
There are approximately 5,100 homeless persons
in Central Iowa.
The city suffers from pornography, drug and
alcohol abuse, broken families, and prostitution,
among many other unfortunate circumstances and
life-controlling addictions.
